Best to do in the opposite direction - go up first then return via the lakeside. Also the trail tries to take you across the lake/reservoir which isn’t possible nowadays, so make your own way towards the village, then turn up hill to get back to the hotel.

Absolutely beautiful ride. However, the trail apparently has you riding actually through the lake instead of around it on the road …but it’s very easy to figure out the correct way to go. Highly recommended.
The hotel Velani is also highly recommended!
