Itinerary description
The highpoint of this ride is a narrow canyon whose walls are probably composed of volcanic tuff. Tuff is rock made of compressed volcanic ash. It is sculpted by erosion into cliffs, spires, caves and all kinds of interesting shapes.
The ride is about 10 miles long. There is a lot more country to explore. Unfortunately, public land is landlocked by private land. Fortunately, the private landowners have agreed to participate in Access Yes, a program of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. Access Yes! is a program designed to improve access to private land or through private land to public land by compensating willing landowners who provide access.
