Itinerary description
Casserres - Casa Palou
We stayed at an endurance stable near Casserres the night before and headed up the main road in the morning, before turning off and following camìs for the rest of the day.
We travelled through Avià and then around Berga, on a track that goes above the old highway. It was challenging at times but I was able to ride for most of it.
One section, between tracks, we were on the main road, but there is a sidewalk with a barrier between you and the road.
Then we ascended on a gravel camino, above Vilformui, where there were incredible views of the landscape below.
After that, a descent through the cattle pastures. Just incredible. Green grass and bells ringing.
No cattle guards. Just electric fence with gate handles.
Steep ascent back up to Casa Palou. Long day! Stunning vistas.
