Itinerary description
A third 'family trip' from Zwardon. This one is pretty tough and not recommended for young kids.
The path follows blue marks on the beginning, then red trails to Wielka Racza (with some minor modifications due to errors or better path through snow) and finally yellow marks to descend to Rycerka Gorna.
From Rycerka Gorna I have hitchhiked to Rycerka Dolna where there is a train station (and have not stopped an app until couple of minutes later). From Rycerka I have cought a train back to Zwardon.
Rycerka Gorna- Rycerka Dolna is around 10km on asphalt road so I do recommend to hitchhike or get one of (infrequent) buses.
On the way I passed a deserted PTTK shelter (Dworzec Zwardon) and two private shelters on the slopes of Skalanka. On the top of Wielka Racza there was an open one with plenty of torists- perhaps due to New Year's Eve.
Good views on Worek Raczanski, Babia Góra (?) and Mala Fatra. The last two from close to Wielka Racza.
I haven't met anyone from Zwardon to Wielka Racza, on the other hand on the way to Rysianka there were dozens of people.
