Itinerary description

Around the Zugspitze. Up by the German cable car, down by the Tirolean cable car, and following the trail that connects Ehrwald and the Eibsee, with fantastic views of the mighty peaks around including the (almost) 3000 m that we have crossed earlier. With the Hochthörle Hütte perfectly located close to the highest point of the crossing, a wonderful place for a drink and a strudel, and then again moving on to the blue waters of Eibsee. It can be combined with a tour of the Eibsee if time and weather permits. It is a lovely walk with the added curiosity of crossing a border between Bavaria and Tirol (as the border marks clearly state, and not Germany and Austria...)
