Itinerary description

First stage of the 6-day trek of the Markha Valley. In this first stage we started to climb the Ganda La that gives access to the valley of Markha proper. The walk starts where a chain cuts the road near the town of Zingchen. The first part of this stage is not very interesting but it is gaining beauty as we ascend. The path runs first through a canyon that later opens into a wide valley. The stage ends in Yurutse, where there is a single but spacious house, and with beautiful views of the Stok Kangri.
