super trail, very easy to follow even without the GPS tracks. the NTS signposts make possible to do with just a printed map.

First part of the trail was very clear and easy to follow using the GPS track. We managed to come off the track from the mid-point onwards and got lost! I think if we'd have followed the GPS track we would have been ok though :-) the trails are really beautiful but, with a lot of uphill, they are challenging.

We did the first twelve kilometers of the trail, all the way to Xujiashan. Scenery was amazing. First two kilometers are tough, after that it gets easier.

Does anyone have a pin location for the trail end for pick up directions?

The Da Hu Tong campsite no longer exists. It appears to have been replaced by some semi-abandoned stone buildings. Bummer.

*Correction: the Da Hu Tong campsite is still there, just overgrown. It’s right beyond the semi-abandoned buildings right off the trail behind the signs.

Also, when I hiked this at the end of October 2023, there were no longer running water sources from the reservoir to Da Hu Tong.
