Itinerary description
The trail starts at the parking of the Zeytintaşı Cave. This location is about 20 km north of Serik. Driving from Serik we will pass a nice horticultural area.
Zeytintaşi Cave is a very small cave with very nice speleothems. There are pure white stalactites with almost no damages. In the rear section there are virtually thousands of soda straws, all over the ceiling. Being generally about 30 to 40cm long, there are some longer ones up to 70cm long.
The cave formed in Jurassic and Cretacious limestones of the Zeytintaşi hill, which it is was named after. Zeytin means olive, on the hill some olive trees, or better bushes, are growing naturally.

The cave is rather small so a visit will take just 15-20 minutes, but it is still going to be spectacular!
Zeytintaşı Cave with its surrounding area of 45.895 ha (113.41 acres) was registered a natural monument on June 27, 2013.
The trail is almost entirely on easy going unpaved roads. Navigation is very easy. The only place where we have to pay a bit of attention is after 1,5 km. Here the orginal road seemed to have been closed. So I had to find an alternative over a hunter's path. But also this part is easy going.
The first half of the trail is in general in more open settings and we have sometimes astonishing views. The second part passes more through forest and there are forestry activities. For this reason the quality of the dirtroads was pretty good. In this part there were many small creeks. Also here we have sometimes beautiful views on the surrounding mountains and every now and then we pass spectacular rock formations.
Some additional information:
The route is designed in a clockwise direction.
There is no drinking water along the way.
The track is very easy from a technical point of view. In the cave the surface was very wet (in January) so make sure to wear water resistant shoes.
There is no signalling along the track. So there are no hikers to be seen......
If you liked the track, write a feedback. If you encountered problems, write me a message.

In one place problem with navigate. But in all other places are very easy! Landscapes are beautiful but not incredible.
Route is easy. A lot of foto marks here on the route. But no marks on the route on the ground.
