მარშრუტის აღწერა
მარშრუტი სოფ. ზემო ხალაწანში იწყება და პანკისის ხეობის ერთ-ერთ მთავარ ღირსშესანიშნაობასთან, პანკისის ციხესთან მიდის.
მარშრუტი უმთავრესად ფართოფოთლოვან ტყეში მიმავალ საფეხმავლო ბილიკს მიუყვება, ნელ-ნელა კრეფს სიმაღლეს და ჩოხურისგორის ქედზე ადის. ქედის თხემზე ასვლის შედეგ მარშრუტი მკვეთრად უხვევს მარცხნივ, კვლავ აღმართს მიუყვება და პანკისის ციხის კომპლექსისკენ მიემართება. გზად რამდენიმე მოსწორებული ადგილი შეგხვდებათ, რომლებიც შესვენებისთვის შეგიძლიათ გამოიყენოთ. ტყეში ჩაფლული ბილიკის დასასრულს ციხე-სიმაგრის გალავანს მიადგებით, მაგრამ მხლოდ მისი ნახვით ნუ დაკმაყოფილდებით, გალავანს მიღმა ციხე-კომპლექსიდან შემორჩენილი რამდენიმე ნაგებობა და ალაზნის ველზე გადაშლილი შთამბეჭდავი ხედები გელოდებათ.
Description of the route
The route starts in village Kvemo Khalatsani and heads toward Pankisi Fortress, which is one of the main sights of the gorge.
The route mostly passes through the beautiful mixed forest, gradually gains an altitude and ascends Chokhurisgori Ridge. From the ridge, the trail turns sharply to the left and continues to ascend toward the fortress-complex. On the way you will find several flat areas, which can be used for light brake during the journey. At the end of the trail, covered by deep forest, you will reach protective walls of the fortress. Beyond the walls, you will find ruins of the fortress-complexes and stunning view over the Alazani Valley.

Maybe my GPS was lagging, but the tower was closer than mark on the map and haven't seen the church. There are no great views, except at the beginning of the trail and after the gate. However, this is nice/remote area and that was a pretty good day.
