Itinerary description
Startpoint is Pecetto, from where you can either walk up the mountain or take the 2-seat bergbahn up to Burki (last station).
Then you follow the trail to Zamboni which takes an hour walk moderate climb.
Once you arrive at the Zamboni hutte, you can go up to the glacier lake. Round trip is in total 1,5 hour non stop. Have a nice polenta or pasta in Refugio Zamboni for lunch and then this trail starts :-).
Take the path from Zamboni hutte towards Pecetto (sorry, started my trail recorder too late).
At a certain point you will find a split:
- One going up toward Pencetto. This is the easy but longest way.
- One going down via Rosereccio to Pencetto. This is the straight down path. On the arrow plates is marked "for expert walkers only". Don't mind, it is steep, rocky, but not that difficult. I did it with my 5 year old girl, off course always at my hand.
The scenery here is awesome so make sure you take this trail during a sunny day.
Good luck and be careful as always ;-)
