Itinerary description
Trail starts just outside the entrance to the National Park, where you can leave the car at any of the small private parkings available. Follow the paved road to the cable car station where you take left for the trail.
After about 1 km take the right track uphill (we made the mistake continuing straight ahead and got a couple of extra kilometers as warm up).
The trail is really easy to follow and goes through lovely scenery all the wat to the top of Kasprowy Wierch, where you look into Slovakia at the other side of the rim.
This hike was made in mid May and still quite much snow left heading in towards the top. In more icy conditions last part could have been tricky without walking sticks - recommend you to bring some equipment if walking at late spring.
As it was first day in a hiking week we took the cabin car down to save some knees - but the alternative is a trail following that cable car route down to starting point.
