Itinerary description
This geographical landmark is located in the southeast Vojvodina and it is a miracle in itself. Our route combines some minor climbing with enough time for sightseeing. You start and end your walk in the picturesque Grebenac village. We choose to park where the road ends, next to the village cemetery and start from there. The route will take you through the forest, the path was clear for us but I heard it can be overgrown with vegetation in late autumn or early spring. You reach the hills after several kilometers, and from there on it’s up to you how you choose to climb or descend these ancient dunes. Our photos testify the disaster that struck these hills in the late 2018. Somebody started a fire and it spread throughout the whole landscape. Now it looks more like an apocalypse but we hope it will regenerate in the time to come. The path back to village is encircled with beautiful landscapes and horizons reaching all the way down to northeast Serbia.

There are places where the route is very much overgrown with bushes, because of this I thought that the route was wrong. The route is not difficult, but 15 km is not an easy distance.
