Itinerary description
It is a moderate trail, it is a bit steep walking up on dirt path, and gentle walking down on tarmac road. I chose a step path through villager’s’ tombs area, quite and chill, there are plenty of tree to shade sunshine, so it is still not sun burnt in noon time, then I changed to a concrete road all the way to summit of the hill, you will find a broadcast station named No. 602. Turned around and walk downhill toward Xiang Tai village, it is the most beautiful part of the hiking, a quite village will reveal to you gradually, amazing mountain view is on your left hand side. Randomly visited a villager’s home, they were very hospitable, and gave me handful of self grown peanuts and a bottle of ice water. After chitchat with them, I decided to walk downhill by more gradual tarmac pathway. Sun was failing behind the mountain and everything is covered with faint gleams of sunshine. This main pathway won’t access villagers’ graveyard, I am not brave enough to walk in it when in sunset neither. It took a bit longer though because it is not a shortcut as my uphill path.
It was a pleasant hiking, the peaceful Xiang Tai village and their hospitality was so impressive. Love to repeat this trail.
