Itinerary description

Departure from the crater on the old cable car. Go towards the Police office where you will find a path down towards the volcano museum. At the first small parking lot there is a concrete lane on the right, with a closed gate. Take this concrete track downwards for about 5 km to a gate leading to a meadow, enter the meadow and follow the concrete track until you reach the large track. Follow the track downwards for approximately 800 meters to a junction on the track (left indication Aso Station), take the right exit and follow the road for 600 meters to just past the forest and then turn left. Follow the road for 2.5 km to the drinks machine and turn right. From now on it is straight ahead for 1.5 km to Aso JR Station.
