Itinerary description
Note: due to Chinese restrictions on making apps, the GPS trail and the satellite overlay are not aligned. The whole GPS trail should be shifted south by 1km or so, you can see that if you look closely at some of the bends and how they should be mapped on the geographical features.
This hiking trail leads up from Yuhu Village into Jade Dragon mountain. The first portion is a mild and then steeper climb in the woods, walking along a narrow and rocky dry river bed. The trail then reaches a large alpine meadow with beautiful vistas of the Jade Dragon. From there, a steep climb commences that leads higher up. The trail actually reaches further than we did, but we cut the hike short due to time constraints.
Along the first portion you will cross a stream twice, with (so we're told) potable water.
The trail is easy to follow. There are multiple bifurcations but for the most part they all join back after a few meters.
