Itinerary description
Excellent trail for an overcast Autumn day! A bit of rock scrambling that could make for some twisted ankles in the rain to begin with but levels out for some excellent SEQ bushwalking. The lookouts show some of the best views of the glasshouse mountains in SEQ almost on par with Mary Cairncross.
This trail was really enjoyable. You could push through it in 3 hours if you wanted to but if you leave 4-5 hours to do it you can take in a lot more. If you have a phone with wither WikiLoc, AllTrails or Maps.me you will never get lost. Always remember to download your topo before heading off! You’ll be lucky on this trail if you forgot though because there’s telstra coverage almost all of the way.
If you’ve got really bad knees or find it hard to rock scramble then probably choose something gentler but it makes for a great say out if the mountains are too wet and you want something more that Ngungun.
