Itinerary description
You Yangs Regional Park is a great park for people of all ages and abilities offering a huge range of activities. I have been frequenting the park for a while now since it is one of the only dog-friendly places with hiking trails!
This trail includes three walks: (as described by Parks Victoria)
Big Rock Walk
3km, 1 hour return
From the Park Office car park, Big Rock Walk winds its way around Big Rock and then back down the same path.
Flinders Peak
3.2km, 1 hour return
Starting from the Turntable car park, this walk takes you to the highest point of the You Yangs. This is a challenging walk featuring 450 steps and rising 200m in elevation.
East-West Walk
4.5km, 2 hours return
A challenging loop walk starting and finishing at the Turntable car park. Some rock scrambling provides rewarding views of the You Yangs and surrounding area.
See my other trails for more walks in this park incorporating other tracks or combinations.
