Itinerary description
York is a magnificent city with a 2000 year old history. Its walls go back to Romain times but the present walls in many instaces date back to medieval times. There is a walkway on top of the walls that allows for a wonderful leisurely walk and to have a view from the city from a different perspective. I found this hike most interesting for how much I learnt about the city history, and could really enjoy myself a lor. Recommed!!
