Itinerary description
We begin the hike at approximately, 6:30am, from a flattened ground, that is more of a parking lot. The stop point on hike map is the area where you can park your car safely. Note that given that there is some ongoing construction in the area, there was a temporary board that said "visitors are not allowed". However, we saw scores of hikers and hobbyists who had taken their cars beyond this notice board.
The hike begins fairly simple over white/grey gravel that forms the Wadi's bed. You will soon end up at a "junction" that bifurcates into the way to the Sheri Village and the other to the Red Wall trail. We took the Sheri Village turn (starting point on the map). The views soon turn engrossing with stunning, slanted rock formations allowing you to absorb the beauty of nature. Post these huge rock formations, you will soon start the ascend. We followed the well marked rock formations (thank you fellow hikers!) and we were never lost to find our way. The hike is fairly easy until you reach the bat cave. If you need to enter the cave, you will need a bit of fitness to hold your body against the ridge wall. Post that, the ascend starts getting steep, however, many segments of the trail have cemented steps, thus reducing any risks.
The trek to the summit took us 3 hrs with multiple water breaks. The village itself is very beautifully laid out with flat grounds, that were probably using for grazing sheep. After spending an hour and half exploring the village, we begin our descend. The descend is steep and you need to be careful of your balance. Interestingly, we hardly had any overhead sun as the trail is almost completely under shade.

Amazing trail. Easy to follow. A bit steep, but stone steps are a great help. If you want to do it in a shade, start not later than 7 am. Loved it a lot. Parking is to be found very close to the start, just ignore construction signs and go ahead until you feel comfortable whatever you are driving.
Good to know that you found the trail interesting. I did it twice and would do it again, anytime. The best part is, that the trail is mostly shaded for the length of it and is a good cardio exercise.
