Itinerary description
The Xemxija Heritage Trial is a fascinating random collection of ancient Roman and prehistoric caves, graves, Baths, beehives, "cart tracks" etc. spread over quite a large area. This is worth visiting in its self. Golden Bay is approximately 3 miles away on the other side of the island and makes an excellent walk along the old straight Roman road. if only for an icecream. Well worth the endeavour.
