Itinerary description
Easy day today!
No major climbs (or descents) - the latter half of the walk is much more enjoyable, hiking over hills, along grassy paths & tracks.
The first part is on minor roads & along lovely boreens!
Camping near Knockananna (incredibly kind & hospitable folks allowed us to put up our tents in their back-garden & even invited us to join them for a cooked Irish breakfast the next morning!), initially we had to hike approx 3 km to get back onto the Way at Moyne & from there, another 4 or 5 km along a nice country lane.
From there we climbed steadily up & over fields along pretty tracks while being entertained by a farmer herding his sheep in his Range Rover!
Very rewarding day's hike with a diversion at the end to stay in a lovely little house in Redbog & dinner in O'Connors in Tinahely.
