Itinerary description
Wuchao mountain circular route near Shimacun (Shima village).
Arrive by car at: Hangzhou No. 2 Cementary 杭州市第二公墓停车场.
Combination of manicured and natural paths. Lots of nice scenery, including a fairy-tale-looking tower. Some steep natural inclines where one has to scramble.
Some of the manicured steps are in very poor condition. I probably wouldn't do a reverse route because of these steps. Piles of garbage at some places but most of this path is relatively tidy.
I went on the weekend following Sweeping Tomb Festival (20230408). Clear skies, decent air quality (AQI-70). From several viewpoints, you can see a lot of disgusting smog over Hangzhou city but you can look away towards the plantations and mountain landscapes.
