Itinerary description
Exploring the beautiful beaches at Bribie Island can be a lot of fun. Its always nice to do the 9km (one way) walk around from the Surf Beach at Woorim and circle back to Bongaree jetty. Its such a pretty and interesting section of the coastline. On a good day, peer across the sandy beach to see Morton Island and over to Redcliffe. There are always plenty of interesting drift wood structures to check out along the beach. Whilst there is an abundance of bird life, if you are really lucky, you may see a dolphin or turtle along the waters edge. Its a long return walk so it best to catch public transport to your starting point (Woorim) or car pool. For additional information, check out our Hiking Facebook Page "Take A Hike- SE Qld".
