Itinerary description
Welcome to the wonderland! A Great hike through the tall umbrella pine trees on the northern slopes of the Latmos Mountains.
The route starts descending from Anadolu Pass (900m) following a dirt road that soon merges onto an old path. Paved with large slabs of stones (an ancient technique) in small sections, the well defined path goes through the pine trees and passes by terraced gardens. Meeting with a dirt road, we walk for about 1 km then get to a monumental pine tree under and the Byzantine fortress of Çörlenasar. Sitting on a big boulder, this is one of the most iconic fortresses on the mountain.
we continue our hike on a path for another 3 km before, we reach the village house in Bagarcik Village. Ismail and his wife Ayse will be preparing this delicious breakfast made with local produce or from their very own garden, accompanied with home made bread.
