Itinerary description
Exploring southern parts of Surrey on this trail which leads through open fields, woodlands and quiet country lanes. Passes numerous quaint old houses and ample opportunities in autumn to pick chestnuts. One section passes through a forest section used by police for training dogs and numerous gun shots were to be heard during that section, as well as many frightened pheasants. The village of Chiddinghurst has a nice church as well as one of the oldest inns in Britain where you can stop for a beer and lunch.
