Easy to follow

Moderate
I'm rating this Moderate with a bit of Difficult sprinkled in. The elevation gain in the first 2.7 miles (going clockwise) was quite a cardio workout ... I was definitely breathing!!! The grade, the staircase-like rock climbing, plus the iced hard snow (yes, in August!) is why I am sprinkling in the Difficult.
The wildflowers were SPECTACULAR due to the still happening snowmelt. Also, the waterfalls and seasonal streams were lovely. I had several creek crossing with one log crossing ... wear waterproof boots!
Oh, and the vistas! Everywhere your eye roams is yet another wonder of beauty. Round Top Lake was a great place for lunch.
