Itinerary description

Hike between Koruldi Lakes and Koruldi Ridge, where you can appreciate stunning views to the Chalaadi Glacier and Ushba (უშბა) which is one of the most notable peaks of the Caucasus Mountains. It is located in the Svaneti region of Georgia, just south of the border with the Kabardino-Balkaria region of Russia. Known as the "Matterhorn of the Caucasus" for its picturesque, spire-shaped double summit. Due to its steep profile and unstable weather, Ushba is considered by many climbers as the most difficult ascent in the Caucasus. North Summit: 4,690 m (15,387 ft); South Summit: 4,710 m (15,450 ft)

1 Km after you start this trail you can refill your bottles with fresh water directly from the spring.

Travel tips for Georgia:
- Avoid long waiting queues to buy train tickets (specially in Tbilisi), just buy them online: https://beta.tkt.ge/railway
- If you want a bit more comfort than traveling in Marshrutkas, try Georgian regular buses (keep in mind that the insane driving style will still be present): http://www.georgianbus.com/?lang=_eng
- Grabbing a taxi is a challenge in Georgia, in Tbilisi for a regular 5 GEL round, drivers can actually ask you for 29 GEL!!! If you don't have patience for negotiation, use Taxify app.
