Itinerary description
After 4 HRS sunbathing on the beach, was itching to go on a walk and a good job i did it on that day as the red flags were flying every day afterwards , meaning the beach and foot paths over the firing range were closed off. The parking area near the entrance of the MOD site is usually full but if you go back to the main road you will find another carpark (both free).
The furthest part of the beach near Whitsand bay golf Club where you exit the beach is blocked off at high tide. You will have to do a bit of scrambling here but not to hard as wife made it! Stooped off in the Finnygook Inn for a pint and then retrace you tracks back across the Golf course. Once you reach the decent to the beach carry straight on instead. Do not go across the Firing Rang if red flags are out, I was walking on the beach toward the Range and got shouted at through a load speaker on the next walk did (see next one). If the flags get put out on the return journey you will have to walk along the road back to the car.
