Itinerary description
This is the traditional end-of-season walking route used by the Rathdrum Walking Group and published on their website https://rathdrumwalkers.wordpress.com.
It divides equally between forest roads and very quiet paved public roads. The first 3.4k is relentlessly uphill, though only short sections will take your breath away. Thereafter, the route is steeply downhill and the views over the valley towards Rathdrum are genuinely breathtaking once you emerge from the forest
