The West Highland Way is a 154 kilometer walking route that runs from Milngavie to Fort William in the Scottish Highlands. It is the most popular walking route in Scotland and offers breathtaking views from the countryside along Loch Lomond to the mountains of the Highlands. Opened in 1980, the route is the first official long distance walking route in Scotland and one of Scotland's official Great Trails. At the end you can choose to climb Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the United Kingdom.
