Itinerary description
We started this walk from the Parkplatz Stadion, a free parking place, which is less than one km. from the old city that you can reach by walking through the Weimarhallen park.
This walk was made randomly, only paying attention to the signs giving direction to the best known places.
Undoubtedly we have missed important places but we got a good overall view of the old city, which is certainly worth visiting.
The Park an der Ilm was created in the 18th century under the influence of Goethe, who also had his summer house there. Here one can enjoy a beautifully landscaped park and an immense sense of quietude.
