Itinerary description

Frontier trail (including cardiac hill with option for cardiac bypass trail) from visitor parking to the end. Return via Manzanita trail and Valley View trail. Many other trails branch off of this trail. This trail mostly defines the boundary of the Institute's trail area, hugging the fencelines in some places. Meadows, babbling brooks, ponderosa forests, sugar pine forests, a manzanita tunnel, and a graveyard. Keep your eye out for a huge multi-trunked live oak that I call mother of the forest. Check for other trails on wikiloc or get the institute map.

The Weimar Institute has over 15 miles of trails. Although this is private property, the trails are open to hikers and equestrians. Bicycles and motorized vehicles are not allowed. A volksmarch cabinet on the side of the Welcome Center near the visitor parking area contains paper maps. For an online version see http://mvtrails.org/images/weimar.jpg
