Itinerary description
The route from Wasserauen to Seealpsee is very easy. The scenery at Seealpsee is magnificent. We attempted to ascent further to Ebenalp, but, because it was winter, the route was quite dangerous with thick snow and steep slippery slopes. Eventually we got lost in the snow and had to turn back. Do not try hiking all the way up to Ebenalp or Santis in winter! The snow makes it impossible.
