Itinerary description
We started at the Surf Club, plenty off road parking and picked up the Promenade trail, which is a shared walk/bike sealed trail.
Easy walk along the coast to the mouth of the Hopkins river. Great ocean views and the occasional viewing area, there are many access paths to the beach which you could take as well.
Great time of the year to do this one, plenty of wattle out as well as tea tree blooms.
We followed the sealed path all the way to the mouth, but on the return trip we took the right hand path at Granny's grave and picked up a dirt track through the bush, a nice alternative.
The Lake Pertobe area is a great area for the family, lots a play grounds, bbq areas, toilets, and nice walk around the lake
