Wandeling Godinne - Dinant

Wandeling van het station van Godinne tot aan het station van Dinant. Wandeling start aan het station van Godinne, en gaat via Tricointe naar de steengroeve van Yvoir, waar je uit verschillende ooghoeken een mooi zicht hebt op de steengroeve.
Verder gaat de route via Evrehailles richting Houx, op dit stuk van de route kom je ook de ruïnes van Poilvache tegen. Eens Houx voorbij gaat de route richting Awange, hoofdzakelijk door bos. Dan zak je terig af naar Loyers on de uiteindelijke afdaling te maken naar de steengroeve van Leffe en het gehucht van Leffe, met zijn abdij. Uiteindelijk wandel je nog via de oude stadswallen van Dinant het centrum van Dinant binnen om zo naar het station te wandelen.
De wandeling is perfect om als daguitstap te doen. Zowel start als aankomst zijn aan een station op de treinlijn Dinant - Brussel. Het is aan te raden de wandeling niet te maken na een lange periode van regen en na een periode van hevige regenval, daar de een deel van de paden dan echt te modderig zullen zijn.

Further, the route passes Evrehailles going in the direction of Houx; in this part of the route you will also find the ruins of Poilvache. Once the route passes Houx, you will follow it in the direction of Awange, mainly by forest. Further the route mainly descends, going direction Dinant, first passing the quarry of Leffe, after the spectacular descent following the edge of the quarry; you will reach the village of Leffe, with its abbey. From here, we will enter Dinant by passing the old city walls. The descent after the old city walls is rather dangerous, so be careful. Now we have entered the center of Dinant, passing the well know bridge dedicated to ‘Charles de Gaulle’ and ending at the train station of Dinant.
This hike is a perfect day trip, because of the departure and the ending are both on the same train line from Dinant to Brussels, there is no problem to get to or from both places. For people who are staying in Dinant, you have even the possibility to take the bus to the start, and return by foot.
