Itinerary description
On street Parking at a number of locations in Shearsby, without blocking anyone's driveway.
A nice easy walk but a good stretch in terms of distance. The walk takes in pasture land greenways, bridleways and canal towpaths, so a good mixture. Please note at approx 2 miles there is a new Persimmon homes development and there us no way through. You will note the loop back in my GPS track. Leicestershire Council have clearly authorised the closure but don't suggest a diversion. My route rejoins the Leicester Round by cutting across and adjacent field to the development.
Foxton Locks offers options for a refreshment break, pint, full meal, snack or just and ice cream.
