Itinerary description
Walking from Osor to Martinscica
As a matter of fact I started out at 05,30hours from the nearby campsite
Autokamp Bijar (close to the village of Osor) At first I forgot to start the Wikiloc tracker for the complete track until I reached the point where I did start to track. (see map) therefore I will explain how to start the walk.
Coming from the campsite turn left at the Road for about 200m. Cross the road and enter the path. From the point of entry follow the path for 770m. (To measure this exact distance I used Maps.me) at this point you can enter a path through some shrubbery, which is not very clear. On and off you will see a path or you have to find your own way, crossing fields of rocks and shrubbery, sometimes easy sometimes rather difficult also climbing some rockwalls. All in all this “path” is about 3,4km long (using Maps.me) to come to the start of the recorded track.
Note: the first 1,8km of the 3,4km. of the track is the hardest part, after that things will be easier. When carrying a compass or using Maps.me it will make finding the start of the recorded track easier.
Once you come to the recorded starting point the path is a lot easier and enjoyable to follow, once you come to the road, cross the road to find a drinking water point to fill your bottle. Continue and come to the village of Ustrine where you find a small bar. (Excellent coffee, when open) After Ustrine the path is really nice through a lot of big spiders in their web trying to catch you for consumption.... be aware.
Coming from the path you enter the small village of Stivan, after which the remainder of the path is on asphalt which is a pity, but it seems there is no other option. Continue along the road and pass the village of Zaglav, there after you can follow the one way road along the waterfront, which is very nice, to the end of the walk to enjoy a nice lunch at the restaurant "Sidro" located at the pier at the village of Martinscica.
According to my calculation the total length of the walk is +/-21km. and the total duration is about 5 hours mainly because finding a route and crossing the rock fields at the beginning.
Enjoy
