Itinerary description
A tough but rewarding walk with sexi senderismo group. From nerja cave car park up through the road a scramble down into the baranco. A scramble climb over the dam and onwards uphill walk in reasonable track to picnic area. From here we climbed upwards again finding the lung buster hill. A tough climb up on a narrow path with lots of stops to catch breath. Along the ridge over a few rocks to our picnicking area. Magnificent views. An up and down walk back to the track where the group split some opting to go on the dirt road back. Like a fool I decided to head on with Caroline and Roger. Lots more climbing scrambling ups and downs. Not for the feint hearted or unfit like me. Really enjoyed this part though, we followed the blue dot painted trail over rocks and down goat paths. Ending up in the tourist trail above the caves. Magnificent views there too sadly my battery died about 40 mins short of our return to the car park where we had a well earned beer in the cafe.
Great day out. Started out at 945 and finished at 4
