Itinerary description

Easy walk, following a well made pathway around Kroustas taking in the great views of the Mirabello Bay and Agios Nikolaos and the surrounding area.
The walk also looks down on the village of Kritsa and encompasses the mountain vistas of both the Thripti and the Dikti Mountains.
Passing by the communication mast where the views of the Dikti remain for the rest of the walk.

Waypoints

Start

Small parking area just beyond the white railings and the small shrine. Follow the main road towards Kroustas for 500 metres, passing Villa Dio Petres on your left.

Go Left

Passes by homes and allotments with the usual barking dogs with great views. Follow this path for 640 metres to the next junction

Turn Left

Stay on this road which varies between unmade and concrete sections all the to the end of the walk.

Continue on pathway to next turning 940 metres further on, ignore any pathways leading away from the pathway

Bee boxes along the route

Bee boxes will be found all over Crete and each owner will have a different colour box of his own Therefore, when you see these they will belong to many owners not just the one The communication mast is 460 metres further on.
