Itinerary description
Without guide - take a stick and some good shoes the terrain is steep and slippery but it is only about 2 hours to the beach and 2 hours back

Tatsächlich habe ich lange überlegt, ob ich die Tour alleine ohne Gudide machen kann, da überall im Hotel davor gewarnt wurde. Aber ich vermute das ist nur um die teuren geführten Touren zu verkaufen. Letztendlich ist die Tour easy und leicht zu meistern. Ich habe zurück fast nur eine Stunde gebraucht. Die Tour wird im Hotel als Tagestour ausgeschrieben, wer fit ist sollte ca. 3-5 Stunden einplanen. Natürlich kann man am Strand auf der anderen Seite auch noch den Tag verbringen, ist echt schön da. Die Route ist recht leicht zu finden, habe mich nie verlaufen und es war sehr schön mit viel Abwechslung und toller Natur.

It might be an easy trail for people who are used to it, but not so easy for the general public. Note that the area is completely out of the coverage, unless you have a satellite phone. You need to take a weather into account, plus there are snakes on a trail. You can also step on a slippery stone and be unlucky. I would definitely recommend not to be alone and better more than two people. Some big old trees can also fall down, usually during the rain.

Its a push to try take the morning ferry and make it back for the afternoon ferry but it can be done if you go full steam ahead, not much time to enjoy the beach other than a quick dip. It gets really hot with the sun beating down on the exposed side closest to grand barbe. A stunning part of paradise I highly recommend if you can handle it.
