ROUTE CARRIED OUT IN NOVEMBER.
After the Waimangu Valley, we head to Wai-o-Tapu, where we can take a walk to cover everything, where we will see ancient craters, fumaroles, hot water lakes and mud lakes of various colors, etc.
At the entrance to the park we have a cafe, souvenir shop, etc. and a map with the various routes that can be taken, in case you only want to visit part of the park. (see photo album)
We did the complete tour, but the time required is much longer than the 1.5 hours indicated, due to the many stops to take photos or simply look.
The route is very varied, with several viewpoints and areas among vegetation that remind us of tropical jungles or those of the Azores, sections between ancient craters, pools of boiling mud or colored water due to the minerals and daylight such as cover photo of this publication, which is not "trick" and the color you see is exactly as it was in nature.
