Thanks to the authorities an excellent trail path has been laid that connect Wadi Shah to Highlander via Nayt and Wassab villages and towards Jebel Rahabah mountain that also has Communication tower, Paragliding launchpad and wingsuit jumping platform.

The whole trail is perfectly laid, safe, visible and has manmade steps and good path.

There are many options on this trail, so that you can extend or shorten your trip as per your requirements of time, distance and elevation gain.

In this trail we hiked from Wadi Shah at 400 meters and summitted Jebel Rahabah at 1550 meters elevation and then descended to View Deck park making it a one way hike.

It also means either you organise cars at both ends or call RAK Taxi on 8001700.
You can park the cars here at the end of the hike.

The views are excellent from any point of this trail.
You can see Wadi Shah, Omani border ridges, Jebel Yabana, Jais Zipline, Jebel Raharah, Wadi Haqeel, RAK city, Rams area, RAK Ports etc.

We parked at Wadi Lahsa near wadi Shah.

Please do not block the road as this is functional village area.

The initial segment of this trail is the Black Link connection trail, part as per Jais lower trails of Samar section.

Once you connect to the Samar trail, you turn right and reach a farm area. You continue towards the mountain top via well laid trail that reached the village of Nayt which is also the summit point of Samar trail.
Its a nice place for break.

From this point you can actually see the zigzag trail that ascends to the mountaintop gaining quick elevation via manmade stairs / trail and once over the plateau you reach close to Wassab village.
This village is NOT part of this trail.
Just before the village the trail goes left towards more farms and mountain top.

Further after many zigzag trails, you connect to Highlander trail.

The views from here are exceptional. Believe me when I say so.

Further upwards, the trail moves and at one point towards the base of the hill you encounter a fork and have 2 options.
1. As per this recording, you can reach jebel Rahabah summit and further to View Deck park.
2. You can bypass the summit and continue to View deck park and further towards Ghaf summit, Jais Summit and Ghalilah dam.

You will need logistics plan accordingly.

    Thank you !!
Yes, it's an amazing section of manmade staircase that took so many hardworking guys to complete.
    Made so safe there.
