Itinerary description
Easy hike up a small wadi. I found a short video posted from Youtube in Facebook. It looked very attractive, especially in the hot summer day. As I knew nothing about the location and its accessibility, I didn't want toinvite many people to join me, but a couple of experienced hikers, Jitka and Vipin, joined gladly. Driving there is long but the new Batinah Expressway makes it easy. Once on the road to Buraimi, one should look for the road sign saying Sahban, and turn off the highway there, go under the highway, turn immediately left and then take the first dirt road to the right. Then, if you follow the road signs, road will take you directly to the pools of beautifule turquoise water. if you do not take the right turn (as per the road sign), you'll end up at the little mosque and the trek starts from there.
