Itinerary description
This track records a 3 day route we hiked through the famous Wadi Rum desert in Jordan.
The trail starts at Wadi Rum Village. The first night we slept at Alblwi Camp, directly south and approx. 6.5 kilometres from the village next to a canyon wall. This track shows that we actually missed the camp and went further south than we should have. The camp is to the left of the track heading south.
Day 2 we hiked from Alblwi Camp north-north-east to Salman Zwaidh Camp, 18.5 kilometres. No wrong turns.
On day 3 we headed directly west and completed the trail at the Wadi Rum Information Centre, 5.9 kilometres.
This trail is extremely exposed and one can expect to hike for hours without shade. Lots of water, sunscreen and a hat is paramount.
