Itinerary description
Previously we have done this trail till dry waterfall of wadi koub. This time we extended the trail to SANAT village.
Entire trail has very much picturesque polished rock formation, balcony walks, Boulders, canyon etc.,
After 3 kms need to take left at the fork ( way point 5) There are marking shows the correct direction to follow the trail.
Close to 4.5 km need take right at the fork (Way Point 6) and ropes are attached climb up.
Before this split, if we proceed further straight there is dry water fall wall with pond and while come back you can ascend further to SANAT village (which we skipped this time).
Village at top has ruined, abandoned houses / farms.
Way down has loose screes and need to have sure steps while descend.
Both ascend and descend to village has GPS error so better to make your own study to choose your route.
After descend, trail will join the wadi from way point 5 where we need to follow same route to the starting point.
I would rate this trail as moderate plus
We have parked our car after crossing the wadi naqab cave ( in the wadi)
Parking location: 25.718663, 56.122920.
Any type of cars with higher clearance can reach the trail head.
Road conditions may get damaged due to rains and water flow in the wadis, make your own study before reaching trail head (at times its only possible to reach the trail head with 4x4 cars).
Note:
There are GPS errors, elevation gain will be between 750 to 800m only.
There are number of water pools at wadi koub, there are ways to pass them without getting wet (if there are water in them) which require extreme care while passing it.
No mobile network in the wadi area.
