Itinerary description
Wadi Koub- Red Wall - Wadi Naqab
Not for beginners definitely! Hiking poles would be very helpful and a proper hiking shoes/boots. Bring lots of water for this 3-4L and food or snacks you’ll need it as it is a long hike.
4x4 is necessary if you want to park on the trailhead. The road here is tough for Sedan cars or you can also park near in the dam which is safe for the small cars and walk maybe about 2km till the starting point of the hike.
We parked the cars bit away from the Trailhead. Even Sedan cars can be brought as close as possible to the Trailhead and it will save you from Flat Wadi walking.
We parked all sedans near camping site and reached wadi Naqab cave by 4x4. Now we can park cars just below wadi naqab caves.
The Wadi has nice section of Picturesque Flat Polished White Boulders, Polished round Boulders, Raw big Rocks and then Manmade donkey path with cemented rocky stairs that are very helpful for Stability.
This Hike is the best to gain an elevation of 500+ meters over a short distance, Beautiful Narrow Wadis and nice view from the top.
The Sheri village at the top is small and neat. The stone houses are beautiful.
Please do not dirty or open any houses / compounds fences.
