Itinerary description

Apparently Wadi Al Helo means Sweet Valley.

We hiked little longer than the usual distance to reach the sort of a Summit.
Lots of options for decent exploration.
Being May month, it was Warm but breezy.
No shade anywhere o this mountains, so go well prepared with Hydration, snacks and clothing.
You will be in Telephone network full time.

You can park the cars here. 24.990222, 56.218299 (google map)

The approach road 1.5 Km is bit offroad from the Highway 102 ( Sharjah Kalba Road ), but Sedan cars can easily travel.

These mountains are nestled together and are easily connected, so can make it into a day programme.

Just take care of loose stones and get a good foot grip.Hiking boots suggested.

You are within the Telephone network and you have the view of the surrounding area for sense of direction.
We returned back the same way, some people chose to go down towards the Wadi via the steep slope full of loose rocks and then they walked to the cars by the Wadi offroad.
Hiking Poles will be helpful for this steep section.

Stay safe, enjoy Hiking.

    Hi Kim,

I'm glad that you found this trail interesting.
I suggest you do this hike in November onwards when day times are cooler so that you can hike this trail relaxedly.
Right now day times are still warm, and unfortunately there is no shelter on this mountains whatsoever, not even a small plant or tree.
If you want to do this in October, Plan for an early morning start for safety. Start at sunrise.
I suggest you start walking at first light, ie just before 6am.
This will give you ample of time to hike and save your dehydration.

    Regarding the details you asked:
The last 1.5 Kms of access road from the 102 Highway is graded mud road, but a sedan will easily go.
Follow google maps. Below are the coordinates for Car parking, its a Watch Tower with parking area around it.
    24.990326, 56.218307
The Trailhead in my Trail is exact, it starts and ends at the Car Parking.
    Please check the Trail route.
We hiked from morning, so it was naturally beautiful and captured well.

Take normal precaution of Hiking Partner, Hiking Boots, Long Pants, Sun shade Hat, Sun Screen, water as per your requirement ( 3 Liters minimum ) and Electrolytes for warm months.

Hope these inputs are helpful for you.

Enjoy the Hike. All the Best.
