Itinerary description
Wadi Harba is the valley separating Batroun from Jbeil. Wadi Harba was the first habitat for Christians in the first century at the times of the apostles who crossed the old Roman road located at the sides of the valley. Churches, sanctuaries, monasteries and hermitages were built there; it was considered a preferred destination for Christian pilgrims.
We started our hike from Madfoun passing by a water spring known as the Mar Youhana Maroun spring, until we reached Saint Rafqa church in Jrebta. We continued the trail until we arrived to Saydet Bzez Monastery or Al Qattine Monastery.
