Starting Point - Farm

Begin this route at the farm just off the Jebel Jais/Wadi Bih road. Use the local roads to navigate into the wadi.

Footpath

After the last farm building, the road ends and a footpath becomes visible. Here, it enters the wadi under the steep cliffs to the right.

The main wadi continues to the left. The easiest path for the next section is back up on the right side under the cliffs.

The wadi fills with large boulders so choose your route carefully. There are several suitable routes, however.

Use the makeshift steps up the dry waterfall to exit the wadi. Look out for cairns as you double-back on yourself along a ridge adjacent to the wadi bed.

Look up and pick out a route using the rock face to guide you. Just keep climbing up and avoid unnecessarily steep parts.

Remain elevated

Don’t follow my path down to the wadi, remain high and find your way up to the walkways leading to the gap. View my next waypoint for an image. If you have a hard time finding the path, the view from the wadi should help.

Elevated Passage

Look up to the right side of the wadi. There is a passageway going perpendicularly away from the wadi. If you look at the cliffs to the right of the passage, you can see man-made walkways to reach it.

Dry Waterfall House

Perched under the dry waterfall is a small camp with a couple of ramshackle buildings. Use this as a guide point to head back along the cliff wall and up to the more modern house that is visible from below.

This spot makes for a great picnic location. From here, you can head over towards Jebel Qada’a on some more challenging routes or head back down the way you came!
