Itinerary description
It was indeed a beautiful hike. The start is an easy level, it’ll take you about 2km to reach the spectrum which is the main highlights of this hike and accessible for grown up kids to follow. Once you reach the spectrum, the place is absolutely stunning. The unique colors and formation of the rocks. The friendly goats on the way and a surprisingly snake on our way back, and the spectrum slide lol. After the spectrum (rainbow valley) the trails gets challenging, steep, some loose rocks, and big boulders on your way. We didn’t do the full as this was our first time and considering the rising temperature of UAE. So to add the adventure we climbed in one of the mountains on the right side of the flat surface of the trail and went back down and continue for some distance and more boulders till we decided to end our trail and headed back to our car.

Really enjoyed this. Easy hike with plenty of bouldering.
Lovely hike . Lots of bouldering . Not suitable for dogs and dogs aren’t allowed (our friends had to turn back with their dog as the local farmer was quite adamant and there is a sign stating it clearly too.)
Thanks Victoria for the review. Indeed it’s a good hike. Preferably to start early in the morning right after the sunrise. Yes this trail is not possible for dogs due to the big boulders specially after the spectrum part although I haven’t seen any sign saying dogs are not allowed in the area
Please don’t bring your pooch on this one. There is now a big official sign “ no pets allowed’ plus a very angry farmer plus spotters. We tried to do this today but have to turn back
Hi Sharon..sad to hear that. Were you guys managed to reach the spectrum tho?
Headed here today and didn’t see the comment on not getting your pooch from Sharon, would’ve saved us a lot of time and a trip. Like she said, “No Pets” sign and an angry farmer lady yelling at you. We couldn’t get past anything and had to return. Thank you Ann for putting this together- next trip will be without the pups in tow.
Hi Zackaronii i am really sorry for that. Farmers might be prohibiting the dogs in this area bcoz of their goats. Goats here are very friendly and with the presence of dogs they might scared them. Again im not sure that’s only my thoughts 🤷🏻♀️
Hi Ann, absolutely agree with what you just said :))

Hi Ann,
How’s this trail for a kid 4 year old?
Hi Mitushi 👋 for a 4yr old might be challenging due the boulders. Try first the Al Rabi Tower..or Wadi Ar-Ar or Wadi Tayibah ☺️
Thank you Ann for the prompt response:)
My pleasure Mitushi 😊 i can suggest you trails that is suitable for your kid.
Sure. Been to Al Rabi tower. Enjoyed kayaking afterwards, had a good experience. Please suggest some more
